We offer our client the freedom to customize not only the software on the camera, not only FPGA code, but also the configuration of the camera. With system board supporting up to 4 image sensors there are numerous possibilities of arranging them, and the solution we came up with is to offer combination of 3D printed parts that can be modified and aluminum sensor-lens holders, which provide thermal and physical stability for the optical part.
It is possible to design composite structure that combines metal elements of simple shape and printed elements of complex shape. Modern fiber-reinforced material for 3d-printing promise to improve mechanical stability and reduce thermal expansion of the finished parts.
