Notes:

It took 3_+ years to develop the NC393 camera.

We planned to update our current line of cameras for some time – Elphel current model NC353 is in production for almost 7 years.(thanks to FPGA flexibility it was upgraded several times)

Xilinx Zynq SoC combines high performance FPGA with a dual ARM CPU

1GB of on-board system memory

512MB of additional dedicated video/FPGA memory

single system board can run 4 individual sensors

The main class of the camera applications – multi-sensor camera

The main line of applications for these new cameras will be multisensor, as a single system board will be able to support 4 current 5Mpix sensor boards, and up to 16 with the new multiplexor. We plan to use the same sensor board in the beginning of distribution for several reasons: this sensor has rather large (by modern standards) pixels – 2.2 microns and that combined with the good sensor electronics will keep them useful for many applications. But of course we plan to design new sensor boards for currently available and newly emerging high-resolution sensors.
